The Louisiana module, written for the civil-law tradition.
Louisiana is the only U.S. jurisdiction grounded in the civil-law tradition, and the Barstudyprep Louisiana piece is written for that. The civil-law essay format, the LA-specific MBE bank, the MPT template, and the 3-month study plan are now live.
The pricing equivalent matches California and Florida at $499 one-time. For now, every page below is free to read and drill. We will not charge anything from this preview.

Essay outline · civil-law
The Civil Code–rooted essay outline, in two pieces.
Louisiana candidates write three essays on exam day that are sourced from the Civil Code and the Code of Civil Procedure — not from common-law judges. The outline below names the topics that recur, the Civil Code articles behind each, and the triage every grader is reading for when the prompt looks familiar but ships a civilian twist.

Study strategy · 3-month cycle
A 3-month LA bar plan, written for working and repeat candidates.
If you have 30–40 hours per week — full-time work, evening hours, weekends — this is the cycle the Barstudyprep Louisiana module is built around. If you are repeating the bar, the reg is what failed last time: Phase 1 is reg, Phase 2 is volume, Phase 3 is calibration, Phase 4 is the sprint. The cycle assumes a working schedule and an uneven week; recovery rules for a missed day are part of the design, not an apology.

Content pack · MBE + essay
The Louisiana MBE + essay content pack, in two pieces.
Two content surfaces the cycle is built around — the per-subject MBE weighting with an LA primer on each of the seven subjects (Civil Code Books for obligations / property, La. C.C.P. for procedure, Louisiana Code of Evidence), and the nine-essay topic article-anchor map. The pack formalizes the per-week block cadence against the four phases of the 3-month cycle.

A 90-min MPT workspace, written for civilian methodology.
Louisiana is the only civil-law U.S. jurisdiction, and the MPT workspace is calibrated to that. The four past prompts anchor each task type (legal-memo, objective-memo, persuasive-brief) to a Louisiana Civil Code / C.C.P. article — no common-law analog, no FRCP. The sample task + model answer below previews what graders reward when the Library voice is the Louisiana register.

Pricing · compare
Louisiana is $499, one-time. See how the pricing compares.
The Louisiana module ships at the same $499 one-time pricing as the California and Florida modules — a single payment, lifetime access to the outline, MBE bank, MPT template, and the guide library. Side-by-side, Barstudyprep covers the LA-specific surfaces Barbri and Themis charge a state supplement for, and the price is set in the open on the compare page.
Module pieces
Six pieces. Civil-law edition.
The Louisiana module mirrors the four-piece shape California and Florida shipped with — an outline written for the LA tradition, an LA-specific MBE bank, the MPT workspace, and a study-guide library — and adds a fifth academic-content piece (MBE index + essay-prompt list) and a sixth study-strategy page that pairs the 3-month cycle prose with a 13-week paced calendar. Open any piece directly; they're free in the preview.

Louisiana module · FAQ
The four questions Louisiana chair and ask us.
These are the questions the LA candidates ask before purchase. The first two are about scope; the second two are about mechanics.
Is the Louisiana module available for purchase yet?
The Louisiana piece is a public preview. The six pieces above are live and free to use. Purchase opens when module enrollment goes live; pricing will match the California and Florida modules at $499 one-time.
Why is Louisiana different from California?
Louisiana is the only civil-law U.S. jurisdiction. The bar exam sources its private-law questions from the Civil Code and the Code of Civil Procedure rather than from common-law judges. The essays grade Civil Code article cites and Louisiana vocabulary — "solidary liability," "causa," "predial servitude" — not the multistate equivalents.
Does the MBE bank reflect LA-specific overlays?
Yes. Every MBE question in the LA bank is anchored in the multistate rules; where the Louisiana Civil Code or Code of Civil Procedure diverts, the rationale includes an LA overlay explaining the divergence. Candidates can drill the multistate baseline, then return for LA-specific pass once a question is missed.
Is the MPT template graded by an AI?
No. The MPT template page is a workspace — it shows the task-model skeleton, time budget, and a small library of past prompts with sample solution scaffold. Candidates compare their draft against the scaffold, not against an AI grade.
